It's been said "If love is a drug then I don't need it". So it's true, I once saw a report in the news saying some scientific research showed that the addiction of being in Love (I'd prefer to say being in a relationship) produces a certain chemical that stimulates the very same part of the brain as drug addiction.
This might be the very reason why some people jump into relationships one after another. I don't understand why would anyone start a relationship without considering if there's nothing more to offer except for company and ofcourse sex. Some people are just afraid to be loney, while others just want attention. I was thinking for people seeking out for attention, would that not be wrong? I mean wrong kind of attention, some girls are labelled as skanks simple its easy to get into their pants. I just figured out that they yearned for attention, just the wrong way of getting it.
While addicted to being in a relationship people are often eager to please, and often this backfires. The harder one tries, the more things backfire. Trying too hard is a turn-off as it is often irritating, why not be yourself? I always believe that if someone loves me he will love me for who I am not what I am( or what I have). So what makes being in a relationship so addictive? I do not have the answer, meanwhile being out of a relationship upsets people because people often try hard and when it fails, they feel miserable because they tried hard. Maybe things you cannot have makes it precious and you tend to treasure it more... In short...人是犯贱的!

the unfortunate irony is that the more you like the person, the harder you wanna try, which might work against you, unfortunately.
oh well.
p.s. the addictive chemical/drug is oxytocin, which is produced when you have those lovey feelings.
I'd think if someone likes me, he should like me for who I am and vice-versa. I would just want to be myself and the other party to be himself. Thats better than having to try to change each other, wouldnt that be suffocating?
Oh bugger..
Oh... thanks for the info.. but to stimulate the same part of the brain as drug addiction... hmmm....
